Carbon Quantum Dots-Based Fluorescent Hydrogel Hybrid Platform for Sensitive Detection of Iron Ions

In this study, we prepared novel fluorescent carbon quantum dots/hydrogel nanocomposite material (CQDsHG) with good adsorption and stable fluorescence detection of Fe3+. The materials were subsequently characterized according to their morphological features, chemical composition, adsorption, optical properties. dots (CQDs) using a microwave-assisted hydrothermal method in no more than 15 min, the as-prepared CQDs exhibited excellent water solubility, as well emitted strong bright blue an ultrahigh yield 93.60%. then loaded into hydrogel (HG) sol-gel obtain functional CQDsHG. CQDsHG high amounts (31.94 mg/g) quenching response for Fe3+, thus, it could be used sensor selectively detect Fe3+ linear range 0–150 μM limit 0.24 μM. We observed minimal difference lifetimes between without quencher (Fe3+), values 5.816 ns 5.824 ns, respectively, confirming that was statically quenched on results indicated innovative combination HG can improve synergistic performance each component quantitative heavy metal ions aqueous environment.
